This is a mixed-source dataset. Each folder keeps its source's terms.

- **hoopR / sportsdataverse** (`raw/hoopr`, `raw/hoopr_hist`, and tables derived from them):
  **CC BY 4.0.** Attribution: "sportsdataverse / hoopR-mbb-data",
  <https://github.com/sportsdataverse/hoopR-mbb-data>. The data are built from ESPN's public JSON.
  The embedded ESPN market columns in the pbp (`game_spread`, `home_team_spread`, `home_win_prob`,
  `pregame_home_prob`) are present in the raw files and are stripped before any feature is built.
- **CollegeBasketballData API** (`raw/cbbd`, `raw/preseason`, `raw/lines_daily`; tables derived from
  them): data from <https://collegebasketballdata.com> (`api.collegebasketballdata.com`), pulled
  with a free key. We found no redistribution restriction; please check their terms before
  reusing it commercially, and tell us if anything here should come down.
- **ESPN public JSON** (`raw/injuries/espn`, 2026-27 rosters, daily odds snapshots, `raw/hoopr` origin):
  low-volume scripted calls to the endpoint family hoopR is built from. Data are ESPN's.
- **Wikipedia coach tables** (`tracked/data/reference/coaches.parquet`, and anything built from it):
  **CC BY-SA 4.0.** Text and data derived from English Wikipedia (<https://en.wikipedia.org>). **Share-alike
  applies:** redistribute adaptations of that table under CC BY-SA 4.0 or a compatible licence.
